Carol Kirk has been an attorney in West Texas for more than 30 years. After attending Texas Tech School of Law, Carol began her legal career as a Briefing Attorney for the Eleventh Court of Appeals in Eastland, Texas, where she was the first female Briefing Attorney in the Court’s history. Carol returned to the Permian Basin, and in 1983, began her career in private practice as the first female associate for a large firm in Midland, where she specialized in family law. In 1984, Carol’s passion to provide personalized representation to those with family law concerns and those accused of crimes, inspired her to form her own firm. Her husband and law partner, Paul Williams, joined her in 1988 and the firm became Kirk & Williams. For the past 31 years, Carol and Paul have represented clients in all of their family, criminal and general legal needs including:

  • Divorce
  • Child Custody
  • DWI
  • Drug Related Offense
  • Domestic Violence

In addition to being a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, Carol has also been certified by the National Mediation Academy as an arbitrator in all areas of law and as a mediator in the areas of family, civil, and commercial law.
Throughout her time in the Permian Basin, Carol has remained an active member of the community and has served as:

  • A member of Program Services Board of the March of Dimes
  • A member of the Board of Directors for the Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP)
  • Director of the Legal Assistants Program at Odessa College
